Oliver Sanderson is engaged with a leading Construction business to source a Director of Regeneration and Sustainability. As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the region, driving sustainable solutions, and delivering successful projects. This is a pivotal role that will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the refurbishment team, including Work-winning, Operations, Design, Commercial, and Customer functions. You will lead the delivery of projects ensuring adherence to safety, budget, time, and quality standards. Additionally, you will take charge of profit and loss governance, report progress, and manage risks, whilst fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture within the team.Key Focus Areas:Leading pre-commencement strategies to ensure effective project kick-offs.Building and maintaining client relationships alongside Sustainability, and BD/Bid teams to secure new opportunities.Driving compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Developing social value plans and driving sustainability initiatives within projects.Leading SHEQ strategies, conducting leadership safety visits, and ensuring statutory notices are in place.Driving commercial excellence alongside P&L responsibilitiesOverseeing performance reviews, driving quality assurance, and ensuring seamless handovers post-contract.Building and nurturing a collaborative team environment and ensuring staff development through appraisals, talent mapping, and performance reviews.What You’ll Bring:Proven track record in leading large-scale regeneration and sustainability projects.Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.Expertise in client relationship management and delivering customer-centric results.Extensive experience in health and safety, with a strong understanding of SHEQ procedures.Ability to inspire, lead, and mentor a high-performing team.Industry qualifications and accreditations in construction or sustainability (highly desirable).This is an exciting opportunity to shape the region's future, work on innovative regeneration projects, and contribute to the sustainability agenda.
