PI Trading Underwriter

Position: Professional Indemnity Trading Underwriter Location: Bristol / Remote Salary: £60,000 - £100,000 An established MGA is looking to expand it’s PI offering and hiring a trading underwriter to focus on new business. The client, a dynamic and ambitious MGA, is looking for a Professional Indemnity Trading Underwriter to join their established team. This is a key role, where you will be given the pen and trusted to drive growth within the PI division. You’ll work in a collaborative environment, alongside a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering innovative insurance solutions to the market. Key Responsibilities: * Underwriting new and renewal Professional Indemnity business within your authority. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with a network of brokers, delivering exceptional service and market-leading solutions. * Identifying and driving new business opportunities to support the growth of the PI division. * Collaborating closely with the existing team to ensure a cohesive approach to market strategies and underwriting risk. * Providing technical expertise and insights into Professional Indemnity insurance, offering bespoke solutions tailored to client needs. What’s needed for me to be considered? * A well-established professional with a strong technical understanding of Professional Indemnity insurance. * A proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with brokers, ideally with an existing network within the PI space. * Ambition and drive to contribute to the growth of the division, with a focus on new business development. * Experience working as an underwriter or a wholesale executive with significant experience covering PI. * Strong decision-making skills with the confidence to take ownership and accountability.
