Concept design of electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment? Hardware design including component selection and supporting calculations? Design of ethernet and serial networks? PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)? Manufacture and assembly support? Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)? Client support – on-site and remote? Peer review of engineering designs? Travel to customer sites for commissioning activitiesSenior Control Systems Engineer - The Person:? Ideally Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline? Hardware design experience essential? PLC Software experience – Siemens or Rockwell preferred? Familiarity of AutoCAD Electrical useful but not essential? Experience of Power Systems or HV highly desirable for this role? Ability to work on projects without direct supervision? Flexibility to travel for commissioning outside the UK when required? Clear thinker with tenacity to solve technical problems? Adaptable and willing to take on challengesLocated in Tyne & Wear, this role would be commutable from Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street and surrounding areas.
