The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding their client base and nurturing relationships within core markets. Your expertise will be essential for identifying new business opportunities, delivering tailored solutions, and achieving revenue targets. The role involves a balanced approach, with 50% of your time spent in the office managing strategies and supporting the sales team, and 50% engaging directly with customers to build and maintain relationships. Additionally, you will manage and mentor a small sales team, ensuring high performance and cohesive teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive revenue growth.
Lead and support a small sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
Identify and build relationships with new clients and maintain strong partnerships with existing customers in our key markets: Sport, Construction, Events & Exhibitions, Retail, and Offices.
Spend 50% of your time in the office strategising and collaborating with the team and 50% customer-facing to develop and strengthen client relationships.
Present and promote print solutions to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure the satisfaction of all parties involved.
Collaborate with internal teams to align on client expectations and deliverables.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Business Development Manager or in a similar sales role.
Experience in managing and motivating a sales team.
Print industry experience is preferable but not essential.
Strong understanding of sales strategies and business development practices.
Demonstrated success in selling to key markets such as Sport, Construction, Events & Exhibitions, Retail, and Offices.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
