We are seeking an Aspiring Child Psychologist to work as a teaching assistant in schools across Eastbourne. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience working directly with children, supporting their academic, emotional, and social development. Key Responsibilities Supporting Classroom Activities: Assist in daily classroom tasks, helping students stay focused, engaged, and on track with their learning. Building Positive Relationships: Establish trust and rapport with students to foster their confidence and emotional well-being. Assisting with Behavioural Management: Work alongside teachers to address any behavioural challenges and maintain a positive, productive learning environment. Providing Emotional Support: Be a source of emotional support for students, offering a safe space where they can express their feelings and work through challenges. Promoting an Inclusive Environment: Ensure all students, regardless of background or ability, feel supported and included in their learning experience.Criteria Passion for Child Psychology: A strong interest in understanding and supporting children's psychological and emotional development. Empathy and Patience: A caring, patient approach to working with children, especially those who may need extra support. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and students to foster a positive learning environment. Teamwork and Adaptability: Willingness to collaborate with others and adapt to the diverse needs of children in the classroom.
