Job SummaryThe MEPQuantity Surveyor manages the cost and contract management aspects of MEP work packages within theprojectfrom initiation to close-out.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and sub- contractorsAdminister incentivisation arrangements as appropriateSupport the assessment of EWNs and compensation eventsProvide regular cash flow forecast of expenditure for packageReport expenditure against the package budget on a monthly basisSupport the change management process in conjunction with other functionsInput to the monthly consolidated project-wide cost / expenditure reportAssess potential contractor and supplier claims and make recommendations for settlement.Finalise contractors accounts and close out contracts for the project.Raising consultant, supplier or contractor instructions as necessary for signature by approved parties.Report on the expenditure of financial contingency built into the relevant packages.Provide schedules of rates and commercial input to tender documentationUndertake cost analysis of bid returnsAssist the package project manager in resolving all financial commercial issues arising in the tender returnSupport the negotiation of two stage fixed price for relevant tendersReceive and review monthly valuations from contractors and prepare recommendation for signature by the project manager and designerReview all instructions issued by the project manager for cost implicationsSupport the change control process and assist in identifying the cost implications of any proposed changesSupport the project manager in the resolution of any claims and disputes as may arise with the contractorQualifications, Certifications & ExperienceRelevant experience of commercial management of MEP packages in medium or bi.Past experience of construction projectsDegree in Quantity Surveying or similarCharter RICS or similarPast experience of major projectsGood knowledge of all aspects of commercial managementFamiliarity with various forms of NEC contractGood IT skills especially excel and commercial softwarePrevious experience of working in the M&E environmentWorked on NEC 3 option CJBRP1_UKTJ
