Secondary Design Engineer (ICP) - P&C Fully remote (UK based) Up to £65K Responsibilities: Subordinate to the Protection and Control Engineer, create Single Line Diagrams and Main Control/Protection designs. Conceptual design of AC/DC schematics for contestable and private networks up to 132 kV for electrical protection systems Developing a comprehensive secondary design that encompasses AC/DC, general arrangements, interconnection, and many block diagrams. Creation of Core Sheets, Termination Diagrams, and Cable Schedules Creation of intricate wiring schematics that panel producers can utilise as a foundation. The process of creating Bills of Materials Red/Green markup drawings for secondary design issues that arise on site Create a complete set of As Built Secondary Design drawings after site preparation is finished. Creation of common secondary design plans for systems operating at 33, 66, and 132 kV Essential criteria: 3-5 years of expertise in secondary design Experience designing EHV substation projects up to 132kv Experience with UK NGET and DNO Familiarity with pertinent BSEN, IEC, CIGRE, IEEE, and ENA Valid driver's licence in the UK Skilled secondary design schemes using AutoCAD for 33, 66, and 132 kV systems.
