Class 2 Driver

Job Title: Class 2 Pallet Driver Location: Southampton Docks Company: Stafforce Job Description: Stafforce is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Pallet Driver to join our team for a position with a well-established independent logistics company based at the Southampton Docks. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting pallets to various locations, including multi-drop deliveries and long-distance routes. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to transport pallets to and from various locations, including docks and distribution centres. - Perform multi-drop deliveries efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. - Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules. - Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring the safety and security of all items. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues. - Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, company policies, and road traffic laws. - Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes and logs. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license. - Proven experience as a Class 2 driver, preferably with experience in pallet transportation. - Experience with multi-drop deliveries and long-distance driving. - Good knowledge of road safety regulations and driving practices. - Ability to operate a tail lift and other loading equipment. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
