Job Title: Textiles Technician Location: Hillingdon, London Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Pay rate: £15 to £18 an hour About the Role: Do you have experience working with fashion, materials or hold a degree in an arts field (e.g. Art or Textiles)? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Textiles Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in Hillingdon. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely within the secondary school, supporting the DT and Art department. There are great transport links to the school and there is parking nearby. Key Responsibilities: Assist practical lessons (KS3 and KS4), which enhance students' experience of Art Provide guidance to teaching colleagues Support all departments within the Art, Design and Technology faculty Promote health and safety within the department The ideal candidate will: Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Art, Fashion, Textiles degree) or have experience working with textiles and sewing machines Have a genuine passion and believe in the potential of every pupil Be committed and reliable with excellent communication skills Experience previously working with children would be beneficial but is not essentialBenefits CPD - Tradewind Recruitment are excited to announce that we are now partnered with the National College, meaning that you have access to exceptional learning opportunities at your leisure.
