We also provide contract advice across the organisation regarding corporate contracts and approved suppliers, managing corporate contracts to ensure that Hestia achieves value for money and meets our other policy objectives. The postholder will provide supplier advice and information to enable Hestia's responses to tenders and service monitoring. A day in this role looks like…. As a Contracts Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Central Services team. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are: To provide advice to enable Hestia to meet its legal requirements in terms of regulatory compliance. To provide contract advice across the organisation regarding corporate contracts and approved suppliers. To let and manage corporate contracts to ensure that Hestia achieves value for money and meets our other policy objectives. To provide supplier advice and information to enable Hestia's responses to tenders and service monitoring. To assist Contracts and Procurement manager in the letting and management of corporate contracts. To represent Hestia at external meetings in relation to contract and approved supplier matters. To represent Hestia in relation to letting and management of corporate contracts and approved suppliers as directed by Contracts and Procurement manager. Ensure that Hestia is compliant with current all legislation relating to contracts and services procured by Hestia. Drafting the development of comprehensive procurement specifications in conjunction with Operational staff, consultants, contractors and other agents. Responsible for the programme of internal monitoring and audit of Approved Suppliers and Compliance obligations, identifying any recurring issues, contractor performance etc. offering solutions, escalating to senior management as required.  Compiling information regarding performance of suppliers for reporting to senior management. Formally responding to contract queries from managers, advising managers on areas of overspend or incorrect use of resources. Developing Hestia's Procurement System, including but not limited to; policy updates, overseeing and review of risk and audits. Liaison with new and established Approved Contractors for the provision of competent, safe and cost effective goods and services. To excel in this role, you should possess: A positive 'can-do' attitude. the ability to think laterally to resolve challenges. a willingness to think strategically. the ability to communicate complex issues simply and quickly. High level knowledge and understanding of procurement legislation, practice and experience of managing complex contracts. Educated to degree level or equivalent with at least three years' experience in Contracts management in a multi-site environment. Experience of drafting policy documents. Ability to work alone or as part of a team overcome difficulties and work to tight deadlines. Experience of providing advice and reports to Board level. Experience in carrying out performance audits of complex contacts. Experience of project management for high value contracts. Experience in developing detailed service specifications, KPIs, SLAs and evaluation matrices. Ability to liaise with external professionals, to analyse and interpret complex information and to produce and present clear reports verbally and in writing to inform and develop procurement standards and protocols. Ability to push through barriers to get the job done to a high standard. Self-motivated, able to manage time effectively, working independently. Ability to develop policy, promote a quality culture and encourage commitment to using procurement as a smart business tool. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
