Job Title: Toolmaker / Assembler

Location: Berkshire

Salary: 16 - 20 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Precision Fitter to join our dynamic precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will ideally be time-served and possess the skills to build, assemble, and test prototype and small-batch mechanical equipment directly from customer drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and assemble high-precision components using manual machines.
• Work directly from customer drawings to produce prototype and small-batch parts.
• Operate within a busy precision engineering environment, maintaining close tolerances.
• Contribute to the design and project management of various high-tech mechanical equipment.
• Ensure the highest quality standards are met, in line with ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker or Precision Engineer.
• Strong background in operating manual machining equipment.
• Ability to work independently from drawings and instructions.
• Familiarity with working with a wide range of materials and tight tolerances.
