Project Engineer (EHS / Facilities Management)6 Months - Extensions AvailableStevenage - Onsite£70p/h Max via UmbrellaRole• Have sufficient knowledge to technically understand the relevant project engineering disciplines related with facilities or equipment modification.• Have experience managing and reviewing EHS risks and controls associated with project delivery e.g. construction, demolition, and start-up activities.• Have experience managing and reviewing EHS risk and controls associated with the use, occupancy and maintenance/operation of modified/ installed systems and facilities, such as building life safety provisions, emergency egress, and emissions to air, land or water.• Ability to conduct comprehensive EHS risk assessments for completed projects, identifying potential hazards and proposing mitigation strategies.• Participate in the preliminary design review phase of project delivery and review the following project documentation where applicable, including signing as EHS representative.o The User Requirement Briefo The Safety Risk Assessmento Project Change Controlo Project Handover Package (HoP) and Documents• Provide ongoing support across the project delivery lifecycle if project risk is significant e.g. Detailed Design, Preconstruction, Construction, Commissioning, and Handover.• Experience in incident management and investigation, identifying root causes of EHS incidents and implementing corrective actions.• Commitment to continuous improvement, staying updated on the latest EHS best practices and integrating them into the organization's processes.• Ability to collaborate with various teams and departments to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.Qualifications & Skills• Holds degree in Engineering.• Holds NEBOSH - National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals or the National General Certificate (or equivalent)• Broad experience in Health & Safety within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other large, regulated industry. Deep understanding of local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to pharmaceutical and R&D labs.• Experience with facility operations and/or engineering.• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey EHS risks and recommendations to stakeholders.• Strong analytical skills to interpret data related to EHS risks and to develop effective solutions.'
