Our client have evolved and continue growing with over 25 years’ experience as a security turnkey solution provider. We are specialists in the Critical National Infrastructure and high security industry. As a turnkey provider our client offer all project elements, electrical, technical, security, lighting, cyber, and groundworks. Position Overview: As an Estimator you will play a pivotal role in the sales team, costing for major tenders to help the business achieve its sales objectives. Supported by the inhouse design team, you will be required to cost for all aspects that we offer our customers. Responsibilities: * Utilise your expertise to accurately price projects * Analyse project specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine the scope of work and materials required * Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather relevant information and ensure accurate estimations * Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs * Review and evaluate bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing * Assist in the development of project proposals and budgets * Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data * Communicate and present estimates to project teams and clients * Other duties as seen fit to support the customers, sales and project teams Qualities: * A track record in sales estimation. Electrical or Security bias would be beneficial but not essential * Strong understanding of pricing * Proficient in interpreting architectural plans and liaising with key stakeholders * Excellent administrative skills, including file management, email and call responsiveness, and tendering for potential work * Demonstrated success in implementing efficient systems * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in using estimating software and tools * Strong communication skills * Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Personal Attributes: * Strong work ethic and adaptability to changing environments. * Quick learner with the ability to take on new challenges. * A flexible approach to work.
