Automotive Body Engineer

Are you an Automotive Project Engineer with a background in Body or Trim Development, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? One of the world’s largest automotive OEM's, is currently recruiting for Project Engineers with experience in any of the following - BIW (Body in White) / Trim / Metal, to deliver part and system design, to cost, quality and timing targets, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. Duties of the Body Engineer include:- • Automotive Body part development • Development of metal press parts, trim parts and mechanical parts • Maintenance of existing BIW and trim parts • Liaising with related departments to find technical solutions Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the Body Engineer:- • Ideally Degree Educated or equivalent industry experience • A background within the Automotive industry • Experience of working with BIW pressings and assembly, and trim parts • Supplier Management • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages • Valid driving license To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK.
