Are you looking for Locum ongoing Consulting work? Look no further! We're looking for a Dermatology Consultant to join our Team in Swindon. Our client is dedicated to providing seamless services across primary and secondary care, collaborating with GP practices and NHS Trusts to meet patient needs with excellence! Role: Dermatology Consultant Location: Swindon Days Available: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (or similar) Rate: Market-Related Key Responsibilities: Provide expert clinical care to adults in a community dermatology setting, handling initial consultations and follow-ups. Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions, such as non-two-week wait lesions, acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Conduct thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate comprehensive treatment plans. Advise on medications, therapies, and interventions to alleviate symptoms and support long-term recovery. Perform or oversee minor dermatological procedures, including cryotherapy and intralesional steroid injections. Educate patients and their families on skin health, preventive care, and lifestyle changes for optimal outcomes. Collaborate with GPs and minor surgery clinicians to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to treatment strategies and patient outcome evaluations. Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to continually enhance service delivery. Candidate Requirements (Medical and Nursing): Medical Degree: MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent) from a recognised institution. GMC Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Dermatology Specialisation: CCT or equivalent qualification in Dermatology. Extensive Experience: Demonstrable expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of dermatological conditions. Up-to-date Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current dermatological treatments and best practice guidelines.
