Continuous Improvement Lead (CI) ACCOUNTABILITIES The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead will be part of a team who are leading the implementation of CI and lean techniques to deliver efficiencies. This will involve supporting the development and delivery of Lean training, as well as leading Lean and improvement projects. The Continuous Improvement Lead will be accountable for the following: • To drive CI initiatives across the project and play a pivotal role in nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance overall performance. • Being proactive and using a standardised approach to continuous improvement across the project while embedding a culture of Lean methodologies to support the fundamental strategy for delivery. • Leading multiple, complex CI projects using the DMAIC methodology and drive the use of CI best practice across sublots and the overall project. • Supporting the on-going management of My Contribution, which is the suggestion scheme, and strive to deliver a strategy, engage staff, and implement projects. • Working closely with sublots and our Supply Chain Family to deliver projects using Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and innovations, in line with our annual Lean Maturity Assessment. • Coordinating training sessions to enhance the Lean capabilities of our sublots and Supply Chain Family whilst continuously providing guidance and support. • Leading root cause analysis workshops, collaborative planning, Gemba walks, short interval control, process mapping and other Lean tools and techniques. • Identifying, creating, and publishing case studies and comms to capture the benefits of the Innovation and Transformation team’s successes and projects. • Proactively seek, implement, and sustain improvements that will increase safety, reduce cost, and cycle time, reduce waste, and drive a transformational change in culture across sublots and the overall project. • Preparing and delivering internal presentations, to all levels of the business. • Identifying and sharing best practices via the Lessons Learned app, and quarterly sublot workshops. EXPERIENCE / CRITERIA REQUIRED • Passionate about continuous improvement, seeking an opportunity to grow and demonstrate skills and experience in business transformation and innovation. • Knowledge and demonstrable experience in root cause analysis, project management and delivering CI projects. • An excellent understanding and experience of using Lean techniques with the confidence to train and coach colleagues to enhance their knowledge. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, carefully managing responsibilities and interdependencies. • Good facilitation skills. • Able to confidently drive change, engage, influence, and motivate people to support continuous improvement initiatives. • Knowledge and understanding of producing and presenting business cases with clear benefits (monetary and non-monetary) • Confident with the use of digital technology. • Effective stakeholder management skills. • Excellent communications skills
