It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for Project Managers to support the Project Management of M25 Highways schemes on behalf of the client (Connect Plus/National Highways) of renewals and improvements projects from design inception to close out following construction project types varying from structures, tunnels, highways and technology across the M25 network.Key responsibilities:Responsible for a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycleWithin each project responsibility for:End to end management of the project, to include scheme development and engagement through the life of the project with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractors.Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to Planner, Construction Manager, Project QS, Asset and Designers.Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activitiesCommercial management of the project to include but not limited to cost plan, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial teamCommission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team. Adhere and apply the project governance procedure, including leading in presentations both virtual and in person with preparation of the supporting documentation to pass through project gatewaysRoutine reporting on project schedule / progress, risk and commercial status of the project internally and to the Client Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities and business plan objectives.Live the Connect Plus Values! Qualifications/ skills:Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etc.Preference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualificationBroad skills, knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areas.Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering.Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract.
