The main purpose of the Senior Producer role is to support the Director of Programming/CEO and Executive Director with the longer term planning of productions and co-productions which meet the artistic aims and objectives of the Theatre. This includes partnership building, research and development, commissioning and securing rights of Intellectual Property.
The Senior Producer is integral to the initial development of projects and the management of the WPT programme. When a project is greenlit, it will be passed to the Producer to lead the production through to conclusion. The Senior Producer will deliver the artistic goals and financial aims in such a way that the artists, budgets, schedule and audiences are seamlessly and productively interconnected. They will promote further life for WPT main house productions as appropriate and to explore further commercial exploitation of WPT productions and content via other arts forms and platforms including immersive events, film release and digital streaming.
They will work across multiple high-profile projects and productions with local and national and international partners and will be required to manage many priorities at once which will require initiative, drive, collaboration, clear communication and strong organisational skills.
