You will be joining a major timber frame manufacturer who are currently in a big phase of expansion where they have invested in new manufacturing equipment. If you are a senior designer looking to take on more responsibility, where progression is at the forefront.
As a Technical Design Lead, you will:
- Collaborate with teams to meet client needs.
- Manage technical interfaces between internal and client departments.
- Coordinate and adjust CAD design work.
- Resolve technical issues related to timber frame construction.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Provide support for manufacturing and construction teams.
- Manage project drawings and ensure timely responses.
- Review designs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Report cost implications of design changes.
What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and working with technical drawings (HSBCad is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently and seek assistance when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience with timber frame, joist, roof cassette, or truss design is highly desirable.
