HGV Technician

MTrecs new career opportunity We require an experienced LGV Technician to work on a mixed fleet at our clients North Tyneside site. The Job you’ll do * Engaging in fault diagnostics. * Responsible for servicing, repairs, breakdown recovery. * Also MOT prep/presentation and full vehicle overhaul (including engine/gear box repairs). * Completion of safety inspections and servicing. * MOT preparations of HGV trailers. * On-site diagnostics of faults with the plant equipment. * Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary. * Documenting and filing service information / records. About You * Applicants will have a minimum of 3-5 years post qualification experience - Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs and/or be Time Served. * Additionally, a qualification as a Class 1 HGV Licence would be of benefit. * You will be a reliable, trustworthy individual with the capability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative, to tight deadlines. The Rewards and the benefits * A 45-hour weekly two shift pattern is in operation. In addition to the base salary quoted, overtime rates are: £23.01, £26.57, £35.41. * All technicians participate in a first-time MOT pass bonus scheme which secures an extra £60.00 per month (approx.). * Standby Callout is a £60.00 fee plus a minimum of 2 hours overtime. * Other benefits include 28 days annual leave per year (including public holidays), NEST pension scheme and Death in Service Benefit schemes
