We have a combined team of c.60 consultants across our London and Boston offices, serving a range of international clients.As a team, there are several factors which define our culture and approach:Bright dynamic team based in central London Flat organisation structure – no rigid hierarchiesTrust-based working – we assess staff based on their outputs, not on facetimeFast progression and focus on staff development – as we’re a small team, frequent stretch opportunities are available for top performers to demonstrate capability and develop their skillsVariety of project work and client types across strategy, analytics, and researchDeep industry focus – working alongside experts who know the sector inside outReasonable working hours relative to other consultancies (~45 hours per week)Relatively light amount of travel to client sites (typically less than 20%)Tightknit culture with frequent team social events (team lunches, sports teams, evening socials)Role and ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting opportunity to join a team of bright and dedicated individuals who work on challenging and rewarding projects for clients in the communications and digital media industries.As a Strategy Consultant, we expect you to:Quickly become an integral part of our team, owning small projects and large workstreamsTake a key role in client project delivery, client communications and project managementApply technical and business judgment to address client challenges and offer new insightsWork independently, or as part of a team, to deliver rigorous quantitative analysis, impactful visualisations, and compelling presentationsBe comfortable working with ambiguity and flexible to changing client requirementsManage junior staff on project teams, with an opportunity to coach and support their personal developmentBe an internal thought leader, supporting business development and contributing to internal best practicesShare our corporate values and take an active role in initiatives to further enhance Cartesian as a supplier and employer of choiceRecent client projects have included:Fibre Broadband: Prioritising areas for a network operator’s fibre buildout, using geospatial analytics to identify attractive locations and estimate financial returns.Customer Experience: Using customer behaviour and network performance data to identify potential service problems, improve customer experience, and reduce support calls.Churn Reduction: Providing insights to service providers on the underlying drivers of customer churn and helping them to develop strategies to increase customer loyalty.Credential Sharing: Helping content providers to identify password sharing on video streaming platforms and developing strategies to mitigate this.Previous Experience We expect the successful candidate to have at least 3 years of experience in strategy consulting, or relevant commercial/technical experience in the TMT industry, in addition to the following attributes:Interest in Cartesian’s focus sectorsDemonstrated strong analytical and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate findings to multiple audiencesTrack record of independently managing workstreams / projectsSelf-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality outputsStrong academic backgroundPlease attached a CV to your applicationNo agencies please
