What you'll be doing;
- Act as system custodian for process control systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions
- Serve as a site Electrically Authorised Person (AP)
- Provide hands-on support to the EC&I team as needed
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements, permits-to-work, and monitor work at the workforce
- Prioritise, plan, and implement EC&I work including planned maintenance, breakdowns, and projects
- Provide out-of-hours support for breakdowns and explain control system issues
- Deputize for the Lead EC&I Engineer and Assistant Maintenance Manager
- Promote and administer the site's CMMS, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Lead investigations into safety incidents, equipment breakdowns, and provide technical input on maintenance plans
What we're looking for;
- Experience in an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation role
- HND/HNC or degree in a relevant discipline
- COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) awareness
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of electrical ATEX requirements as per DSEAR
- Familiarity with using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Adept at authoring concise risk assessments, method statements (RAMS)
- Experience with permit-to-work (PtW) systems
- Troubleshooting/system custodian experience with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs (desirable)
- Supervisory experience (desirable)
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma (desirable)
- Participation in hazard studies (desirable)
- IEC 61508 (Functional Safety of Electrical/Electronic/Programmable Electronic Safety-related Systems) awareness (desirable)
- High voltage experience (desirable)
- Low voltage single line drawing modification and updating skills (desirable)
- CompEx (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) Ex01-Ex04, Ex12 certification (desirable)
- AutoCAD experience (desirable)
