Non-Executive Chairperson - Consumer Services
London

About the role:
We are working with a fast-growing, consumer-focused company. Their commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth has helped them stand out in these competitive markets. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a Non-Executive Chairperson with experience in both the UK and USA to bring strategic oversight and governance to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Chair board meetings, providing strategic direction and fostering open, collaborative discussions between board members and the executive team.
* Provide high-level insights and recommendations on the company's long-term goals, business plans, and market strategies.
* Ensure the company adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance, compliance, and best practices.
* Act as a mentor to the CEO and senior leadership team, offering guidance on leadership, decision-making, and operational challenges.
* Bring a deep understanding of consumer services in both the USA and UK to guide the company's strategic direction in these markets.
* Provide an independent perspective on risks facing the business and work closely with the board to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.
* Represent the company to external stakeholders, including shareholders, regulators, and business partners, and ensure transparency and trust in these relationships.
Requirements:
* Proven track record as a Chairperson, Non-Executive Director, or senior executive in a consumer services business, ideally with experience across both the USA and UK.
* Extensive knowledge of the consumer services sector, including market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive landscapes in both regions.
* Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to see the "big picture" and guide long-term business planning.
* Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, boardroom dynamics, and regulatory compliance.
* Experience working across the USA and UK, with a strong understanding of cultural, economic, and legal differences between the two markets.
* Solid financial literacy, with the ability to understand complex financial reports, budgeting, and the financial drivers of business performance.
* Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, foster strong relationships, and provide an independent, objective viewpoint.
