Sheet Metal Worker

BAE SYSTEMS - GOVAN. Sheet Metal Workers are required at BAE SYSTEMS - GOVAN. The pay rate ranges from £19.40 to £35.62 per hour. Shipbuilding or heavy industry background required. What You’ll be Doing • Understand and follow written and/or oral instructions • Have all the basic hand skills, i.e. burning & chamfering of various gauges and types of plate and extrusions • Ability to accurately mark out sheet plate/extrusions • Correct use of grinders and associated consumables whilst adhering to the HAVS regulations • Experience in use of strong-backs and fairing aids to prevent distortion Overview of site: There is a huge demand for Sheet Metal Workers and potential for a lot of overtime if you're currently looking for work and hoping to build your experience within the shipbuilding industry, Govan is the place to be.
