Care Home Unit Manager Location: Watton, Norfolk Salary: £50,000 per year Employment Type: Permanent Shift: Days About the Role: A well-established care home in Watton, Norfolk, is looking for a dedicated Unit Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will assist the Home Manager with day-to-day operations and work closely with a skilled team of nurses and carers, ensuring top-quality service and a compassionate environment for residents. This role emphasises the highest standards of nursing and clinical care. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Home Manager to establish effective clinical governance, policies, and procedures in line with NMC and NICE guidelines. Mentor and support nursing staff and carers, offering coaching on best practices, including medication management, wound care, and regular resident health assessments. Ensure thorough documentation and that care plans align with each resident's individual needs, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Regularly monitor clinical care standards, identifying improvement areas and implementing changes to enhance care quality. Work alongside the Home Manager to foster a positive work environment that promotes staff engagement, development, and learning. Serve as a role model to staff, demonstrating high standards of clinical practice and providing strong leadership.Skills and Attributes: Proven experience as a Nurse Manager or in a similar leadership role in the care sector. Friendly and approachable personality with excellent interpersonal skills. Team-oriented with strong coaching and mentoring abilities. Strong clinical expertise with a focus on person-centred care. Effective under pressure, with strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills. Proficient IT skills with experience managing electronic records.Education and Qualifications: NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience.Benefits: Comprehensive induction and ongoing training program.
