Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client a global energy company are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. This role supports our assets Nationwide so can be based at any of the Uk based sites. The role is high-profile in helping to assure the quality that underpins security of supply and delivering the business strategy to accelerate the energy transition. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering the opportunities to improve quality assurance development initiatives, support station projects, outages and maintenance activities across the power generation and storage fleet. Key responsibilities: Supporting project implementation, you will manage stakeholders to provide onsite support of QA and QC processes and demonstrate how they are adding value by helping to ensure that business targets are met, and a continuous improvement process is maintained. Ensure best practice is employed by networking and benchmark comparisons with other functions and businesses to achieve optimum business performance Your profile Essential An HNC or engineering degree qualification and/or engineering craft-based qualification and/or appropriate Project Management or Quality Assurance qualification, with relevant process plant knowledge and experience. Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Requirements and Root Cause Analysis Techniques An understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and standards and a positive safety and quality mind set including a safety management qualification (IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH Certificate) Experience in implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and their practical application through performing inspections of work within a process environment. A demonstrable track record of applying continuous improvement techniques to improve performance of management systems and processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across functions and with site teams Strong interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships with all stakeholders The confidence to challenge established practices and suggesting imaginative solutions Full UK applicable drivers license Desirable: APMP or Prince 2 qualification in project management. Knowledge and competence of using SAP based systems. Experience in application of lean tools. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
