p We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Eastern and Midlands team based Witham. /p br br Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button. br p /p br p strong Location /strong : Witham, Essex /p br p /p br p strong What will you be responsible for? /strong /p br p As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Eastern and Midlands team, supporting them in delivering a DFE project. /p br p Your day to day will include: /p br ul li br /li li Manage the design process during the pre-construction and as required, the construction phase. br /li li Interrogation of enquiry documents, in the form of an Employer's Requirements. br /li li Production of a Contractor's Proposal document in liaison with other internal departments. br /li li Manage our design process via external consultants. br /li li Drive innovative and cost effective solutions into the design. br /li li Progress design issues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meet information delivery dates. br /li li Attend tender launch /tender adjudication and launch meetings as required. br /li /ul br p /p br p strong What are we looking for? /strong /p br p This role of Design Manager is great for you if: /p br ul li br /li li Experience of delivering high value, complex design work from the main contractor perspective. br /li li Ability to organise, plan, programme and manage workloads. br /li li Understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures. br /li li Commercial awareness. br /li li Understanding of different Client procurement routes. br /li li Experience of site/contract procedures would be an advantage br /li /ul
