Maintenance Engineer

Hariley Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Kingswinford. What will your key responsibilities include: * Taking a lead role within your team during breakdowns with your skills and experience. * Ensuring that maintenance is carried out in line with PPM schedules and that effective and efficient corrective action is taken. * Quick and effective response to breakdowns in more than one area on site, where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns occurring. * Communicating unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption. * Following engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department & site. * Ensuring all activities are carried out within health and safety guidelines, highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer. * Timely reporting of any Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Issues. * Demonstrating basic fault finding techniques to identify root cause of issues. * Raising Stock and Non-Stock request forms. * Use of the CMMS system for spare parts, to log and complete jobs. What you’ll need to be successful: * An advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical disciplines * Solid Engineering experience, ideally within food manufacturing * Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and have the ability to fault find * Mechanical fitting skills. Machining, welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous. * The ability to mentor colleagues * A self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment * An individual who is keen to make a difference with their pro-activeness and a can-do attitude. * Industrial refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential. * Desirable IEE 17th or 18th edition * Desirable Advanced Electrical qualification * Desirable good knowledge of PLCs, Variable speed drives and control systems
