Software Engineer in DevOps

Software Engineer - Alternatives Technology - Buy-Side - Hybrid Perm Opportunity ** My client is a leading global investment management business looking to hire a Software Engineer within their Alternatives Technology team. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications supporting Diversified Alternatives and Liquid Alternatives investment teams and remit includes trading, risk, performance, attribution, quant and operational systems. The Software Engineer is expected to: Perform hands-on development and testing, adhering to the framework, processes and practices aligned with the team for technology delivery. Work closely with the Team Lead, Technical Lead and wider team in delivering to project/business timelines. Work directly with the investment team on varying projects, incorporating requirements gathering, through to delivery. The successful Software Engineer will possess: ~ Strong experience of Python, with libraries/frameworks including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark. ~2+ years Buy-Side experience, with a proven background in working with data centric systems. Experience building data pipelines or ETL tools and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow. ~ Good knowledge of SQL. ~ Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies. ~
