Responsibilities To lead activities in production-, quality- and manufacturing engineering Ensuring a consistent/detailed approach using Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Tools such as 8D or 5Whys Improving quality in line with customer expectations, industry standards and company objectives Applying methods for cost efficient manufacturingRequirements Essential skills and experience A track record of completing projects on time and good quality in a complex environment A track record of can-do taking ownership for outcomes beyond immediate disciplinary control Structured and organized approach to work and problem solving Five years’ experience working in similar manufacturing environments and possess a good understanding of using Quality and Process management tools and methodologiesDesirable skills and experience Use of quality methods and tools Profound understanding of operations in machining, tooling, welding, assembly and finishing Must have good communication skills (both up and down stream and external contacts) and able to train others, facilitate quality events and meeting including cross functional teams Keen to drive improvements and capable of thinking outside of the boxEducation and Qualifications Degree in Engineering: preferably mechanical engineering  If you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250! for full details on all Permanent, Temporary and Contract career opportunities we are actively seeking candidates for.
