About the Company We have been retained by a leading buy-side acquisition search and principal investment firm. The company specializes in advising on transactions across various industries, including industrial manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and more. The Director of Mergers & Acquisitions will lead the European M&A buy-side advisory services, supporting private equity clients and their portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the European M&A market, strong client management skills, and a proven track record in sales. Develop and execute M&A acquisition search strategies for the European market. Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms, corporate executives, and business owners. Act as the primary contact for major M&A transactions, ensuring client satisfaction. Lead negotiations and oversee the execution of complex M&A deals. Mentor and manage a high-performing team of M&A professionals. Ensure compliance with European regulatory requirements during transactions. Drive business development efforts to expand our client base across Europe. 10+ years of M&A business development experience. ~ Deep knowledge of the European M&A market, including key players and regulatory frameworks. ~ Fluency in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) are highly desirable. ~ Expertise in financial modelling, valuations, and transaction structuring. ~ Occasional travel across Europe may be required for client meetings and deal execution.
