Job Title: 1:1 Unqualified Tutor Location: Rotherham Salary: £20 - £25 per hour, depending on experience Contract type: Day-to-day, Short-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you a recent graduate in Maths, English, Science, or Psychology, passionate about education and eager to make a significant impact on a student's learning journey? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and motivated 1:1 Unqualified Tutor to provide personalised support to students in Rotherham. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the educational sector. As a 1:1 Unqualified Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in providing targeted support to students, helping them to overcome learning barriers and achieve their academic goals. This position involves working closely with individual students to deliver tailored lessons and monitor their progress, ensuring they receive the personalised attention they need to succeed. Responsibilities of the 1:1 Unqualified Tutor: •             Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of the student, focusing on areas where they require additional support. •             Track and report on the student's progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure effective learning. •             Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, motivating the student to engage with their studies. •             Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of the student. •             Maintain regular communication with teachers and parents to provide updates on the student's progress and discuss any concerns or additional support needs. Requirements of the 1:1 Unqualified Tutor: •             A degree in Maths, English, Science, or Psychology. •             Experience in tutoring will be advantageous. •             Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous. •             Understand the challenges faced by these children and how to help them. •             Good knowledge of the national curriculum and tutoring strategies. •             A patient, empathetic and understanding approach to tutoring. •             Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
