Job DescriptionJob Title: Field Force Technician - Security Control CentreJob type: ContractLocation: RemoteWe are seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our client's UK Physical Security Team. The role focuses on protecting Critical National Infrastructure assets using both physical and cyber security technologies by deterring, delaying, and detecting security threats and vulnerabilities. This field-based position requires 60% travel and time spent at the client's Head Office in Warwick, West Midlands.If you have a solid foundation in security technologies, a drive for excellent customer service, and a passion for contributing to a clean energy future, we encourage you to apply today!What You'll DoAn exceptional opportunity has arisen for experienced Field Technicians to join a small, skilled team of Security Technicians responsible for servicing, maintaining, and installing various security systems. These systems include:Monitored Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), both analogue and digitalCentrally managed access control systemsPublic Address and intercom systemsVideo analyticsElectric and acoustic fencingIntruder alarmsSecurity lighting (white and infrared)Supporting infrastructure (servers, UPS systems, electrical wiring)You will support sites across the North, Central, South West (including Wales), London, and the South East of England. A full UK driving license and the ability to travel within these regions are essential. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours standby and callout rota after gaining necessary training and authorization.Working closely with our Security Control Centre (SCC) Operations Team and first and second line support teams, you will be a key interface between SCC operations and specialist contractors.What You'll NeedEssential:Industry knowledge and recognized qualifications in security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intruder detection systems, automated gates, monitored pulse fencing).Experience in service management and stakeholder engagement, including third-party suppliers and contractors.Ability to multitask in challenging or crisis environments while making sound decisions.Ability to work well under pressure.Excellent literacy and report writing skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear and concise instructions.Full UK Driving License.Candidates with experience as security service and installation technicians/engineers or locksmiths with security installation experience are encouraged to apply.Additional Information:The role is part of the Field Force Team, responsible for maintaining physical security, access control, CCTV, etc., at IS and Cyber sites.This role focuses on repair, maintenance, replacement, or small upgrades, not new installations or operational technology.Knowledge of Gallagher systems is ideal, but training will be provided.Security field qualifications, including Competent Person (PERSONS) accreditation, are advantageous.A clean driving license is required, and candidates must pass NSV clearance (temporary ERA clearance may be used during processing).A company vehicle and fuel card are provided, along with a £30 allowance for food and beverages during overnight stays.
