Your role at Veezu:The Garage Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the garage. This role includes maintaining a clean and organised workspace, assisting with vehicle maintenance, managing tools and equipment, and providing general support to mechanics and technicians. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Who are Veezu?Veezu is the UK's fastest growing taxi and private hire technology platform operating across hundreds of UK towns and cities. We are a tech-driven on-demand mobility service that supports our hyper-local communities, helping them thrive and so much more!What you'll do: Assist mechanics and technicians with vehicle servicing and repair tasks.Keep the garage clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and available when needed.Monitor stock levels and help manage inventory for parts, tools, and consumables.Conduct basic vehicle checks (e.g., fluid levels, tyre pressure).Support the maintenance of the fleet, including refuelling, washing, and vehicle inspections.Assist in loading and unloading parts and equipment.Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Garage Manager.Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient garage operations.What you'll need:High school diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repairs (advantageous but not essential).Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Basic computer skills for inventory and equipment tracking.Valid driver's licence (preferred).Enthusiasm for learning new skills and taking on varied tasks.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Personally motivated to achieve success for the business.Ability to motivate others to produce high standards of work.Well organised with an ability to effectively plan.Lead by example and act in compliance with GDPR, the Company's policies and information security requirements at all timesPromote a culture of decision-making and problem solving.Where you'll be:This role will be based out of our Leeds garage.This role will be onsite.
