What does a great Finance Manager – Financial Reporting do?
This is an integral role within the Travelport Controllership team. The Controllership team is responsible for all external reporting, technical accounting and accounting policy setting for the Travelport group. This role reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and will take a pivotal role in driving improvements in the quality and accuracy of our global accounting. There will also be opportunities to assist with corporate transactions (M&A, refinancing, restructuring) as well as supporting the preparation of the Group financial statements and UK statutory accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for facilitation and review/challenge of monthly management accounts for all legal entities
- Driving improvements in balance sheet reconciliations through a program of reviews, providing support and reporting findings and opportunities to the Finance Leadership Team
- Ad-hoc projects to improve controls or address accounting issues identified through the above
- Preparation and review of certain UK statutory accounts
- Supporting corporate project activity such as corporate restructuring, and refinancing transactions, acquisitions and disposals
What we look for/who would prosper in this role?
- Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Public Accountant with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in practice or industry
- Experience of working within, or auditing, a large, complex international group
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience of statutory financial statement review or preparation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent collaborator among cross-functional teams
- Confident and resilient

- Scope for the candidate to take on additional responsibilities to those listed above as the role evolves.
- Significant interaction with the Head of Controllership and Director of Technical Accounting
- Interactions with cross teams, mainly GL onshore and offshore (India based) team, Financial Operations, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Planning and Analysis
- Visible role with interaction with Finance leadership team
