Senior/ Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services
Vertical Recruitment is working with a successful independent building services and sustainability consultancy with over 140 staff across 8 offices in the UK. They work on a diverse range of projects, including education, healthcare, and residential developments, and are currently involved in a significant £900m hospital project.
They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Warrington office.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their interests are met, and lead or support consultants as required.
- Enhance staff effectiveness by improving client relationships, internal systems, and developing team skills.
- Collaborate effectively with all relevant parties, managing project impacts and distributing workload efficiently.
- Take responsibility for project management, including the training and development of junior staff, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure all documentation and project outputs comply with Quality System procedures and relevant standards.
- Manage multiple projects, including the organisation of trainee staff, while adhering to security procedures and confidentiality.
- Contribute to maintaining high design standards by staying informed about industry developments and proven systems.
- Support contract compliance with ISO standards, internal audits, and feedback processes.
