Mechanical Support Engineer

Aberdeen based, staff role. Full rights to work in the UK required. Provide Mechanical support which may include offshore visits Generates work scopes, cost estimates, maintenance and minor modification work packsProvide knowledge/expertise in all aspects of specific types of mechanical equipment, fabricated equipment, materials handling equipmentOperational and specialist Mechanical support to modification or study teams or projectsAssists in setting budgets, manage expenditure for all work scopes Management of Sub-Contractors and suppliersInterface with other relevant disciplines to ensure technical integrity of design is maintainedParticipate in and contribute to various Safety Reviews related to the projects, i.e. HAZID, HAZOP etc, and close out assigned actions in a timely mannerAssist with inspection of equipment and attendance at FATs as requiredMaintain Mechanical Equipment Specifications, Standards and Procedures Provide input and support long-term facility modification and maintenance plans/programs toensure cost effective operation and asset integrity throughout the FPSO lifetimeTechnical integrity audits on mechanical systems and work management as part of the Technical Audit programmePropels high safety acumen with regards to FPSO facility daily operationsLead and participate in a proactive safety performance and KPl's and provide appropriate input to the Process Safety management systemParticipate in equipment failure investigations and incident investigations as requiredEnsures that all requirements, deadlines, and support services for FPSO Operations, Construction, Maintenance and Materials are met and carried out by offshore personnel
