Specification Technologist (Graduate) Waltham Cross, Herts Salary: up to £27,000 Monday – Friday 40 hours per week – 08:30 to 17:00 We are seeking to recruit a graduate who is looking for their first role within the food industry. You may already have experience, but if you not, we are offering the opportunity to develop you into the role of a Specification Technologist. You will be working within the technical team across all aspects of customer and supplier specification management. Reynolds Catering Supplies is one of the UK’s leading fresh fruit & vegetable suppliers to the foodservice industry and the only remaining national family-run greengrocer. What will I be doing? Completion of customer assurance documentation and e-portals, including specifications, risk assessments, SAQs and supplier documents. Set up and approval of customer specifications and supporting technical information in accordance with customer requirements. Maintaining and developing the technical information database as well as using the information to complete customer information requests. Assisting with preparations to achieve compliance for BRCGS audits. Work towards internal KPI’s, customer KPI’s and deliver a ‘right first time’ ethos. Review supplier specs, in line with updated customer requirements and Reynold’s policies, including all regulatory changes that will impact on the accuracy of the information and food labelling. Providing support to other technical / quality departmental functions as reasonably requested, including customer certificates of analysis. What do I need to be considered for this role? Educated to Degree level or equivalent. Previous experience within the food industry would be advantageous. An understanding of food legislation. Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. HACCP & Food Safety experience (desirable). Effective communicator across all levels of the business. Very high level of attention to detail, highly structured and organised.
