The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and maintaining critical power equipment.   Service Engineer   Permanent £32,000-£36,000 08:00-16:30 East Sussex & Kent   Service Engineer Job Description Carry out service and maintenance (PPM) requirements, fault diagnosis, testing and repairs on all types, makes and manufacture of generators, UPS, batteries, switchgear, control systems, fuel tanks and associated electrical / mechanical equipment. Carry out load bank testing, site surveys, investigations and inspections of generators, UPS, batteries, switchgear, control systems and associated electrical / mechanical equipment. Assist and carry out installation and commissioning of critical power equipment. Install temporary / hire equipment including generator sets and UPS on customer sites. Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the on-site work of electricians, trade helpers and apprentices engaged in the installation, maintenance and repair of critical power equipment. Estimate the time, resources and materials required for remedial jobs and submit detailed reports; initiate requirements for supplies, tools, and equipment as necessary to complete jobs. Carry out electrical testing and complete electrical test and inspection certificates. Complete dynamic on site risk assessments before commencing any work and accurately complete all service visit reports.  Service Engineer Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications Experience of servicing, maintaining and fault diagnostics on Generators and other critical power equipment An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar) Full UK driving license  Service Engineer Company Benefits Generous overtime rates. 25 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with length of service.
