We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Year 6 Teaching Assistant in the Faversham area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about being a Teaching Assistant and helping children continue to grow and develop in the school environment whilst assisting them and adapting learning to their individual needs. Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students in the classroom, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant will include but are not limited to assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivering learning activities which will be both on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups. You will be expected to assist children with special educational needs (SEN) and help manage classroom behaviour, creating a safe and inclusive space for all students. You will also be responsible for preparing learning materials, supervising the children during breaks, and supporting them with tasks such as reading, writing, and mathematics. Collaboration with the teacher in assessing and recording student progress will be essential as a Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and capable of building strong relationships with children and staff. Experience in working with children in a classroom as a Teaching Assistant or similar environment is desirable, and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential is essential.
