Development Specialist People (South Based) Speedy Hire are the UKs leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services everything for every job! A rare opportunity has arisen to join the People Development Team and we are recruiting a People Development Specialist who will focus on supporting the continuous growth of Speedy colleagues as the development subject matter expert. In this role you will be facilitating outcomes from talent and succession planning, conducting training needs analysis and design and delivery of virtual and in-person training solutions as well as contributing to the design and development of external training programmes with a commitment to quality and return on investment. This is a hybrid role supporting our Speedy Depots and locations in the Midlands and South predominantly, though travel may be required across the UK and Northern Ireland on occasion. With thishybrid working model atSpeedy were empowering our people to balance their time between home, travel and our locations in a way that works best for them. What youll need : Proven experience of developing and delivering engaging people focused learning and development and leadership and management initiatives within a changing environment Proven experience in a learning & development role with a commercial mind-set Effective influencing and communication skills Curious and energised approach to new ideas Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, line managers and colleagues Proven competence to work without close supervision Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering online and classroom training initiatives Key competencies: Strong analytical skills with a great attention to detail Effective communicator and presenter verbal and written Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload Organised and able to manage own time effectively Able to respond quickly and positively to change Challenges the status quo to come up with new ways of working Able to work autonomously or as part of a team Ability to build strong internal and external relationships Understands the bigger picture whilst dealing with the essential detail Excellent communicator both orally and written Able to listen to requirements and offer solutions Confident comfortable at multi business level Dynamic - able to make a difference and add value Self-driven and highly motivated Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
