Job Description Teaching Assistant - Supply Stoke by Nayland C of E Primary School, Colchester, CO6 4QY £22,367 pro rata (£11.59 per hour) Part Time Casual Reference: 6503 Required November/December 2024The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, patient and caring teaching assistant on a supply basis. We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a supply basis to work mainly in an EYFS/KS1 class, but with flexibility to work across the school as needed. Possibility to cover breakfast/after school clubs.We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who: is able to support an individual pupil, or small group of pupils, some of whom may have Special Educational Needs can undertake a range of tasks to support learning, such as numeracy groups, discussing stories or listening to reading can follow plans and work on their own initiative communicates clearly with children and adults, verbally and in writing has good Mathematics and English skills has good behaviour management skills is a good team player and has a willingness to contribute to the general smooth running of our school can use simple computer programmes to record information has knowledge of speech and language development (desirable but training can be given).Stoke by Nayland C of E Primary School is a warm, welcoming church school at the heart of our village community.
