FINANCIAL ANALYST, FP&A Experience: FP&A/MI/Financial Analysis Financial Services Good Excel skills £60,000 – £75,000 package City of London: flexible hybrid WFH (3-4 days p/wk) Pear Talent is representing a high-growth M&A led international Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst in their divisional FP&A and business partnering team. This team liaise directly with the business providing critical performance insight and commercial financial planning support to the Exec, directly influencing the company’s strategic decision making. You’ll report to the Finance Director and play a key part in providing this reporting and analysis, as well as supporting business partnering initiatives and contributing to various ad-hoc commercial activities eg M&A, fund raises etc. The role is extremely varied in terms of its activities, reflecting the need to rapidly respond to business needs. You’ll be expected to be able to gain credibility with senior stakeholders and demonstrate first class project management and communication skills. Work is often ad-hoc and project based. Key accountabilities: Provide finance support to the division's CFO/Exec and business leads of the specific business lines. Deliver business performance analysis, MI reports, financial forecasts and regular Board/Exec packs. Financial modelling - manage and upgrade existing models, and create new models as required by evolving business needs Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to aid decision making as requested by business leadership (e.g. scenario modelling, reforecasts etc) Key contributor to annual budgeting process; collating and modelling inputs to derive accurate financial / KPI outputs Support responses to investor queries and assist in the external presentations of the business performance, results and future ambitions. Contribute to new investment proposals, acquisitions and corporate projects on an ad-hoc basis. Ad hoc MI for Exec management, investor relations and Group Finance Required experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with previous Financial Analysis, FP&A or MI experience gained in a Financial Services company. Experience of partnering with business teams from a commercial finance perspective Strong Excel skills is important (vlookups, sumifs etc), any experience of building and/or maintaining financial models is an advantage, but not essential. Excellent communication skills, comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders Ability to partner effectively across business areas outside of Finance, Robust and pragmatic, with the ability to manage conflicting demands across several areas.
