Supply Chain Coordinator

We are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in our Head Office at Catherine House, Northminster Business Park York. As a Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) you are an essential part of our supply chain operations. You are responsible for liaising between suppliers, agents, freight vendors and a range of other internal and external stakeholders. You will oversee an area of responsibility which will likely include key suppliers and several suppliers within specific geographical areas. The main responsibility will be to ensure orders are shipped on time in full working with a range of freight providers to ensuring goods are shipped in the timeliest and cost-effective way. Key Responsibilities for our Supply Chain Coordinator Overseeing the logistical management of specific areas of responsibility and key suppliers checking purchase orders are running on time vs plan and shipped on time in full (OTIF) Overseeing the end-to-end shipment of purchase orders via the most suitable shipping method working with a number of freight vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods into our main DC in York and other third-party warehouses Managing relationships with agents, key suppliers and freight vendors across our global supply chain to proactively address any potential issues Facilitate effective communication between internal departments and external stakeholders with a focus on providing excellent customer service Support the Supply Chain Manager with conducting performance evaluations of key suppliers and freight vendors identifying areas which can be optimised Support the Supply Chain Manager with the analysis and optimisation of transport routes and lead times to improve efficiencies and reduce transport costs The preparation and maintenance of daily and weekly reports on supply chain performance and key metrics Providing annual leave cover for other areas within the team About you Knowledge of logistics and transportation processes Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities (Power BI / Excel) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Time management and organisational skill MCIPS / MCILT Membership (or working towards) desirable A strong sense of drive and motivation for the success in this role Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail Eager to learn and adapt to new situations and technologies Able to build strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and internal / external customers Analytical mindset for problem-solving and decision-making Takes initiative in identifying and addressing potential issues Forward-thinking in adopting new ideas and technologies Able to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines Maintains composure when facing challenges or setbacks Confident in making decisions, often with limited information Benefits/Package for our Supply Chain Coordinator: Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum plus; Flexible working around core hours, as agreed by your line manager Annual discretionary bonus scheme Death in service Generous Staff Discount Holiday Entitlement (Increases with service) Company Contribution Pension Access to Retail TRUST (Wellbeing and Financial Support) Access to the Pavers Foundation: an employee-led grant application and charitable giving scheme Access to Pavers Academy for learning and development opportunities About Us At Pavers we are passionate about providing comfort and happiness to our customers, and we make sure to employ people who are as passionate as we are.
