Site Engineer

My client is an established regional contractor in the East Midlands and with continued growth are actively recruiting for a Groundworks Site Engineer in Nottingham.

Working on both new build housing developments and social housing projects, Site Engineers will be responsible for:

• Setting out drainage, earthworks, external works, foundations, landscaping, roads, sewers, and substructure packages.
• Planning, scheduling and managing subcontractor operations.
• Measuring and ordering required materials.
• Quality checks.
• Effectively influencing the progress on sites and ensuring programme deadlines are met.
• Developing effective relationships and dealing with clients and subcontractors.
• Working closely with all other team members to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to on site.
• Mentoring and training junior staff.
• Maintaining IMS, policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will possess:

• HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years site engineering in the commercial/resdiential groundworks sectors.
• Experience in adoptable drainage and roads.
• IT proficency with MS Office and AutoCAD software.
• Conversant with Leica TS15/16 EDM kit.
• Full UK driving licence to allow travel to live sites.
