About The RoleVerwood C of E First School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you? Actual Salary £16,389 - £16,664 per annum per annum (Grade 5) This job is Part Time - Term Time Only for 30 hours per week and 39 weeks per year. It is offered on a Temporary basis until 31-Aug-2025. Approximate start date 11-Nov-2024. This role will involve working 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday across 39 weeks per year (school term time plus INSET (training) days). The successful candidate will work in our early years classrooms alongside the class teacher to support the children and enable them to achieve their full learning potential. Experience of working with children in a school environment in Early Years is highly desirable but not essential. Keeping Children Safe in Education The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
