Senior Business Development Manager - IT Managed Services My client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to join their established team.The role of the Business Development Manager is predominantly a field based, customer facing sales role, responsible for deep relationship development to deliver margin growth within a number of strategic accounts. The key to success in this role will be the leverage and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. The role requires the ability to use solution and diagnostic sales techniques to sell a wide range of services to deliver measurable business value.The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.Business Development Manager ResponsibilitiesManagement of the full spectrum of a sales cycle; from need creation to business justificationWhilst Marketing and Lead generation support will be provided the successful candidate must also be a self-starter with a network of clients and contacts to call upon to drive organic new logo sales.Continually striving to reach different areas of the business, understand the customers strategic intent and underpin their trajectory with company servicesCreate and maintain a detailed client sales strategic plan that will generate, manage, and close substantial new business winsMaintain a three times target pipeline throughout the fiscal yearEngage and promote our services with key partners.Constantly endeavour to generate new opportunities and find new ways to marketAssist and support marketing endeavoursProject and maintain a professional and competent image of the BusinessSecure new logo customers and grow company market shareDeliver against all key commission plan targets (Margin/order intake/renewals where applicable)Develop client account maps and sales plansAccuracy of monthly forecast commitmentActivity reporting: to be updated in preparation of 121 reviewsCRM accuracy on all levels Business Development Manager Requirements Proven sales experience within Enterprise client’s delivering new or transformation services on Power architectures.Experience in positioning and selling into Enterprise customersA comprehensive understanding and capability in Hybrid Cloud solution selling including multi-cloud management and containerisation strategies.Ability to identify, articulate and promote how professional services can help a client in order to achieve their business objectivesAbility to question effectively whilst gaining an understanding of the prospect/clients’ business needsBe able to demonstrate and articulate a solid understanding of the dynamics of the market including market trends, industry issues and key political forcesUnderstand the environment in which a prospect/client operates and maintain awareness of all activity within itUnderstand the application of the technology within the portfolio and the business impact it will have for the clientCapable of presenting business & technology roadmaps which demonstrate how a client can drive maximum value from their technology for competitive advantageDemonstrate the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to interact with and present to clients at every levelEstablish consistent and thorough pipeline managementCapable of time management, highly organised and capable of prioritising workload based on the clients’ expectationsWillingness to research and self-study to keep skills relevantSelf-motivated, flexible in approach, enthusiastic team playerStrong rapport and relationship building skills with customersStrong sense of responsibility and accountability, results drivenMethodical in approach with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
