Telephone Base - Credit Controller

Telephone-based Credit Controller Role Summary To support the Operations and Finance teams in producing accurate and timely reports and information. Ensure efficient day to day processing of customer receipts and bank entries. This position is suited to someone who enjoys talking to customers on the telephone, comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and pro-active. Responsibilities * Contacting customers by phone to collect missing premiums (90% of role) * Use of email, SMS & WhatsApp to accommodate our policyholders preferred method of communication * Responding to and resolving customer queries, on a one touch basis * Assisting with the development of credit control processes and procedures and ensure company service standards are met and maintained in all communications of a financial nature with customers * Assists with queries regarding renewal policies and with the allocation and arrangement of premium refunds Experience, Qualifications & Skills * Strong numeric skills including good working knowledge of Excel * Previous experience in Credit Control or experience of working with Direct Debit systems or Insurance industry * Knowledge of bank reconciliations * Broad experience and understanding of operation of business administration * Able to operate in FCA regulated environment * High degree of customer focus * Ability to work collaboratively as part of an effective team * Good written and spoken communication skills * Understanding of the need for and commitment to the highest levels of confidentiality * Enjoy opportunities for personal development * Methodical approach with a sharp eye for detail What we offer * £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (depends on experience) * Fulltime - On-site / Monday to Friday (09:00 am to 05:00 pm) * 23 days holiday per year (increasing with length of service) plus your birthday off (paid) * 4 x salary life assurance * £500 to spend on your physical or mental wellbeing (think gym memberships, spa days etc) * Company pension * Healthcare including 24/7 GP advise & mental health helpline * Discounts at hundreds of brands you know and love * Discretionary lunch provided to assist with cost of living Interested?
