QA Manager £40,000 - £45,000 Kent Job Reference: GG/00937 Overview This is an opportunity to join a very successful food manufacturer. They are category leading, supply the major retailers including M&S as well as key food services customers. As QA Manager, you will join a high-performing Technical team, headed by an inspirational Head of Technical. You will report into a brilliant Technical Manager. The Role * Manage a large QA team of c.18 people. * Represent the QA team and take responsibility for the delivery of this team's accountabilities. * Develop, train, maintain and support the QA team to ensure business needs are met. * Support and drive quality accountability in the operations team. * Ensure that continuous improvement/best practice as well as effective team working is a priority for all. * Ensure customer requirements are implemented and maintained in the factory through the QA team, using a working knowledge of retailer requirements * Ensure that food safety, legal, quality and customer requirements are met at all times. * Provide clear direction and demonstrate effective decision making. * Ensuring a thorough investigation takes place of any customer complaints * Take an active part in the internal audit programme, and ensure site is always audit ready * Implement KPIs for the QA function including GMP results, non-conformances etc. The Candidate * Experience in a Technical or Quality Assurance (QA) function within a food manufacture. * Ready-to-eat experience is preferable * Experience of managing or supervising a team.
