Your new role
A need arises for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's established team. Key responsibilities:
Conducting site investigations and analysing soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to determine their impact on construction projects.Designing and implementing geotechnical solutions for foundations, retaining structures, and other infrastructure projects.Preparing detailed geotechnical reports and providing recommendations based on your findings.Collaborating with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure geotechnical considerations are integrated into project plans.Overseeing and managing geotechnical testing and monitoring during construction to ensure compliance with design specifications.Utilising geotechnical software and tools to model and predict soil behaviour under various conditions.Ensuring all geotechnical work adheres to relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Providing technical support and expertise during the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.Staying updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and applying innovative solutions to complex problems.What you'll need to succeed A candidate for Geotechnical Engineering role must have:
Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a ground investigation within the UK with experience of soil/rock logging, fieldwork and sitework supervisionWith a degree in Civil/Geotechnical EngineeringSelf-starter, a team player with strong communication skills and a proactive characterSound knowledge of UK Design and practicesFamiliar with UK and EU StandardsA full UK driving licence is required.
